Who Used Fahrenheit First? [Solved]
Fahrenheit’s genius was in recognizing that water, ice, and ammonium chloride all had different temperatures at which they stabilized. He then set 0°F as the temperature of the mixture of these three substances and 32°F as the freezing point of water. Wow! Talk about a brainiac - Fahrenheit figured out that by using a tube filled with mercury or alcohol he could measure temperatures based on these three points. Amazing!
