Well, after Ares got taken down, everyone thought the Blades were gone for good. But then Kratos got handed the Blades of Athena - pretty much the same thing. After he killed Ares and became God of War himself, he got all of Ares’ weapons, including the Blades of Chaos. He promised himself he’d never use ’em again though.
