President Jimmy Carter sure was busy! He signed the Social Security System into law on May 9th, 1977, then followed up with the Social Security Financing Bill on October 27th. On December 1st he passed the Social Security Financing Legislation and then just before Christmas he signed off on the Social Security Amendments of 1977. Finally, on April 10th 1978 he put his stamp of approval on more Social Security Financing Legislation. Wow!
